-Forensics Project Reflection:
1.) What did you learn though this project?
- I learned how important genetic samples information is in crimes! It helps find the real suspects better using gels, DNA, Chromatography, blood type, finger prints, and diseases.
2.) What would you like to know more about?
- How Chromatography works. I don't quite know the reasoning behind it all and I wish I asked more about it than I did.
3.) What should be done differently next year for this project?
- I honestly don't know. I thought the project was well put out for the most part.
4.) How do you feel you did staying on task while working on the project? How do you think you did during the presentation? What would you do differently?
- I thought I did very well when it came to staying on task and alright on the presentation. I probably could have explained things more "scientifically" and thought more about how to answer the questions asked by the judges (because they looked so befuddled by the family tree), but overall I think I explained the slides I stated very well.
5.) How do you feel your group did staying on task while working on the project? How do you think your group did during the presentation? What would your group do differently?
- Everyone was pretty much on task. Sometimes they, including myself, got a little side tracked, but that's after working on the project for an hour straight. I honestly thought I was more prepared to present than my group though. Not that they did present well and didn't know their information they needed to explain, but I was just more prepared to speak in front of the judges. So maybe more practice on how to present. Other than that though, we did great as a group.
