STEM Musical Project:
For this project, my group (Jessica Walters, Max VonBlancenberg) and I worked together to create musical instruments. The kind of musical instruments we designed together were 3 different kinds, one for each; a String Instrument, a Chime Instrument, and a Wind Instrument. With each instrument, they had to have 6 notes (C,D,E,F,G,A,B). Paragraphs that describe each instrument are set below!
Physics Concepts:
I set up a link to our concepts of each kind of instrument. I don't quite remember how to set it up on my web page, but hopefully this will do until I figure it out and fix it later on:
REFLECTION:
I think the hardest part of this entire project was just fixing the notes on the instruments. It was very tedious and needed to be done carefully. This was a huge problem however because this project would have been a lot quicker. Although it was tedious, we finally got it to the correct notes and we were done.
I enjoyed play the instruments. We played at our "STEM Concert", celebrating the finishing of our Solar House with all the STEM students and parents and playing our instruments in front of everyone. I played my groups Chimes instrument while Max was singing some of the "Elements" song as Jessica gave us support from the side lines. I would have had a video of this, but the thought hadn't occurred to me. Sorry :(
Over all though, the project was fun, straight forward, and a good learning experience.
