The Creative Engineering Design Project:
-What is this about?
For this project, my group (Jessica and Nightwhisper) and I had to create a solution to a world problem. For example; Population Growth, which is the problem we decided we wanted to make a solution to. Our goal, as a group, is designing and imagine something that can help this problem. Below is the slideshow we created that talks about the ideas we came up with!

-Concepts:
*Identify the need
*Research the problem
*Develop possible solutions(Brainstorm ideas)
*Select most promising solution
*Construct a prototype
*Test and evaluate prototype
*Redesign
*Communicate the design
*Rework
-Reflection:
Looking back at my project I completed with my fellow group members, I had made personal improvements. I was motivated most of the time working and I enjoyed researching "Overpopulation" and how it effects the world in a negative way, like Deforestation, which is clearing out areas of forests and trees. It was very cool as well because everyone in my group new me so it was easier to work with them (not that I didn't like working with others I didn't know, it was just hard for me to be social with them, effecting the way I worked), but this made me realize that I shouldn't be scared of working with others I didn't know. Now, when I will work with another group, I promise myself I will treat them as if I knew them and work as hard with more confidence and motivation.
In the making of this project, we had some flaws. One major one was that for our presentation and our design (which I sadly couldn't show on this computer because it was an invalid file) we only used one computer for all of it, relying on that group member, Jessica, to give them to Nightwhisper and I and work on it if work wasn't done at school. I believe this was a problem because it was a lot of work and it should have been split out to the group so each of us had an equal amount of work.
As we were at the peak of being done with this project, I had to do the unthinkable; public speaking. I don't like public speaking because I am afraid of screwing up as I am presenting with my group, which I did make some. I took long pauses between my sentences to think how I am going to explain something, which caused my group to finish my sentences for me. Plus I got very red in the face, not saying a word correctly because of my problem with speech as well as them staring at me and focused on ever move I make. Although I felt this way, the crowd, being my fellow class mates, were very positive and didn't judging me. Many of them have a hard time speaking in front of crowds too after seeing them present and I never thought so many had the same problem as I did. I know hope that over time of doing presentations, I learn to get over the fear of public speaking.
In conclusion, I hope to work with others I don't know with more of an open mind, try to even out the amount of work we do around my future groups during future projects, and I hope to work on my fear of public speaking in front of large crowds. Thank you all for listening and I will try to find a way to show you all my Slideshow form project as soon as possible :)
